Anyone not familiar
with your house such as

  • POLICE
  • FIRE
  • EMS
  • UPS / FedEx
  • food delivery
  • service technicians and repairmen
  • new friends
  • out of town relatives

may have difficulty finding your house if your address is
not visible.

Most municipalities
require that your address be displayed
on your house
and visible from the curb. In other words,
your address must be visible from the street during both
the day and night.  Hopefully the benefits of following this
requirement are clear to you because you and your
family'ssafety truly depends on it.

If your house is on fire, the
fire department should be
able to find it, right?  Yes, we
can see the smoke and
flames.  Unfortunately,
however, fires are not the
only emergencies you may
face.
  • What if your child is having an asthma attack or
is chocking on a small object?
  • What if your wife is having an allergic reaction or
your husband is having a heart attack?
  • What if someone has broken into and is now
    inside your home?
In any emergency situation getting to the scene
is of the utmost importance for responders.  Help
cannot be provided until the location where the
emergency is found, therefore visible address
identification is critical.
